Stoughton High’s free throws paid off in a 53-50 victory Madison Edgewood in a Badgfer South game on the Vikings’ court.


The Vikings connected eight times from the line in the fourth quarter to hold off the Crusaders and climb over the .500 mark (9-8, 4-6) for the first time this season.


Tessa Messberger had 14 points to lead Stoughton, Hannah Elsman of Edgewood (10-7, 5-5) had 17 points to lead all scorers.
