Flood sets mark in Delavan-Darien win, other scores

Courtney Flood scored 13 points and set the Delavan-Darien High School all-time girls assist record as the Comets beat host Burlington, 56-41, in Southern Lakes Conference action Thursday night.


Flood had four assists to set the mark at 195.


Alana Cesarz scored 11 points in the third quarter and finished with 21 to lead the Comets (14-4, 8-3).


Cassi McCarthy led Burlington (4-15, 3-8).

-- Union Grove 40, Waterford 35 (OT)—The Broncos moved into sole possession of first place in the Southern Lakes with the overtime win over the state’s sixth-ranked Division 1 team.


Megan Lee scored 12 points to lead Union Grove (16-2, 10-1), which has handed Waterford (17-2, 9-2) its only two losses of the season.


Jenny Carriveau scored 11 points to lead the Wolverines.

Wilmot’s Jackie Herman lit up the Elkhorn gym with six three-point goals on her way to a game-high 33 points.


Elkhorn (7-11, 3-8) was led by Sarah Woellert’s 13 points.
