Teen accused of assaulting local girl
JANESVILLE — A Marshall teen accused of sexually assaulting a local girl in Janesville was released on a signature bond Wednesday after appearing in Rock County Court.
Jared E. Lowrey, 17, faces felony charges of sexual assault of a child and sexual exploitation of a child.
Lowrey is accused of having sex with the girl and convincing her to send him pictures of herself having sexual relations with a dog, according to the criminal complaint.
If convicted, Lowrey faces a maximum 52 years and six months in prison. He is scheduled to be in court March 10 for a preliminary hearing.
