WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a book deal for the authors of the annual Beloit College "mind set" list

RSS

— A book, based on the annual Beloit College "mind set" list, is due out in the summer of 2011.

Retired Public Affairs officer at the college, Ron Nief, and Co-author, Professor Tom McBride, are writing the manuscript, which is due to be completed this summer.

Nief says, instead of looking at the experiences of just the newest class coming to Beloit College, the book will cover a much wider area. He says they look at a graduating class from the late 1800's and additional classes every 15 years or so.

Nief hopes the book will be a great way to start conversations between three to four generations.

The contract for the book was signed this week with John Wiley and Sons, one of the nations oldest and leading publishers.
