Verona wins, keeps pace

Kelsey Zwaga and Rachel Cropp each had 14 points as Verona rallied from an 11-point deficit after one quarter to defeat Sun Prairie, 51-35, Tuesday night in Big Eight Conference girls basketball.


Cropp and Zwaga each had four three-pointers for Verona (13-2 in the Big Eight, 15-3 overall), which remained tied with Middleton for the Big Eight Conference lead.


Paige Albi had 15 points for Sun Prairie 4-11, 5-13).
