Milton Red Hawks prevail

Brandon Knudtson scored 11 points, and Philip McCarthy added 10 as Milton High edged Monona Grove, 37-36, in a Badger South Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.


The Red Hawks improved to 3-8 in the conference and 4-15 overall.


The Silver Eagles went to 6-4, 11-9.

-- Edgewood 54, Fort Atkinson 36—The Crusaders (13-7, 9-2) rolled to a 13-2 first-quarter advantage at Fort Atkinson en route to a Badger South victory that gave them a half-game lead over Monroe.


Fort Atkinson (2-18, 0-10) committed 28 turnovers. Logan Schwandt led Fort with 10 points, hitting three of his team’s four three-pointers.


Scott Hird was the lone Edgewood player to score in double figures with 12 points, including a pair of three-point goals.
