Janesville city officials consider economic strategies

The Janesville City Council plans to invest a little time Thursday night to consider new economic strategies.

City Director of Economic Development Vic Grassman has a few ideas to share. Among them, Grassman plans to promote a redevelpment authority, better use of public-private partnerships to support financing business growth, and exploring federal regulations requiring banks to assist in community reinvestment.

The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. in the city council chambers.
