The process to select a new president for Blackhawk Technical College is expected to move a little more quickly starting Wednesday.

Current President Eric Larson announced last October he'd be retiring after 12-years at the helm. The BTC Board will seek the public's help Wednesday in selecting the new president. Board Chair Thomas Westrick says the new president will face a number of challenges. Top on the list is financial management in the face of a tough economy and state funding cuts. To help develop a profile of a desirable candidate, community forums will be held Wednesday at the Monroe and Janesville campuses.

The board hopes to finalize the profile at a meeting later in the evening, and start advertising the position on Monday.
