Edgerton High’s hot-shooting girls basketball team was at it again Friday night.


The Crimson Tide collected nine three-point goals, making it 26 in the last three games, to remain atop the Rock Valley North.


Brooke Ferrell drilled six three-pointers, and Meggie Schmidt scored nine of her 21 points in the final quarter to lead Edgerton (10-7, 9-3) got past visiting East Troy, 51-41.


Ferrell finished with 19 points, including three three-pointers in the second quarter. Schmidt hit four of five free throws in the final quarter when Edgerton made 8 of 10 as a team.


Caitlin Dolan had 12 points for the Trojans (7-9, 6-6), who were 57-55 winners over Edgerton in December.

n McFarland 58, Whitewater 53—Kaitlyn Eversoll made 15 free throws and finished with 27 points to lead the Spartans past visiting Whitewater.


McFarland (11-5, 8-3) built a 26-16 halftime lead and stayed one-half game behind North leader Edgerton.


Hannah Runez scored 22 points for the Whippets (6-11, 6-7).

n Jefferson 68, Evansville 36—Jefferson (10-6, 8-4) had no problem downing visiting Evansville (1-9, 1-13) to break a four-game losing streak and stay a game behind first-place Edgerton in the Rock Valley North.


Caylee Cottrell had 15 points for the Eagles, while Jessica Splittgerber added 13.


Sydney Westrick had 15 for the Blue Devils (1-14, 1-10). Kayla Klitzman added 12.

Brodhead 59, Turner 30—Dana Lewis scored 16 points as the Cardinals pulled away in a 19-7 second quarter and rolled over host Turner to keep their share of the Rock Valley South lead.


Mariah Mohner added 12 points in helping Brodhead improve to 10-2 in the conference and 11-6 overall.


Megan Grover scored 12 points for the Trojans, who fell to 1-11 and 3-12.
