Jets win at Alpena
ALPENA, Mich. The visiting Janesville Jets scored a pair of goals in the third period to defeat the Alpena IceDiggers, 3-2, in North American Hockey League play Friday.
Larkin Jacobson and Rui Encarnacao scored the tying and winning goals within the first 12 minutes of the third period.
Mike Thompson scored the Jets’ first goal on an assist from Encarnacao in the second period. Matt Wichorek had 25 saves in goal for the Jets (22-17-3).
