— The regular season ended in disappointing fashion for the Rock County Fury.

The girls high-school co-op team comprised of players from Janesville Craig, Janesville Parker, Beloit Memorial, Turner and Clinton lost 5-2 to Stoughton.

Chelsea Pomeroy and Jordyn Tremain scored goals for the ninth-ranked Fury (11-7-3), but a 4-1 deficit was too tough to overcome.

“We played terrible, probably our worst game of the year,” said Fury coach Darrel Moore. “We just didn’t have a lot of energy and we kind of went through the motions.

“Hopefully, we got it out of our system because we play Stoughton again next Thursday to open up regional play.”
