-- CASEY L. BROWN, 26, of 1211 Anthony Ave., Janesville, at 7:04 p.m. Monday at 1038 ˝ Center Ave., Janesville, on a charge of physical abuse to a child.

-- DANIEL J. O’BRIEN, 23, Roscoe, Ill., at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, Ill., on a bench warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a charge of forgery.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- TYLER J. BYERS, 24, of 891 W. Hart Rd., Beloit, at 2 a.m. Friday at Riverside Drive and Elmwood Avenue in Beloit Township after he demolished a mailbox and fled the scene. The arrest was listed as Byers’ fourth on an intoxicated driving charge. He also was cited for hit and run, failure to notify police of an accident and operating after revocation.

-- MICHELLE L. KAHL, 35, of 1312 Shade Tree Lane, Janesville, at 1:24 a.m. Monday at Parker Drive and Hyatt Street, Janesville. It is listed as her second intoxicated driving arrest.

-- IAN M. GRAY, 24, of 5308 N. Kennedy Road, Milton, at 12:27 a.m. Monday at Kennedy and M H Townline roads, Milton Township. He also was arrested on a charge of endangering safety by reckless driving.

-- SHARDAE I. AYERS, 23, of 2803 Woodlane Drive, Janesville at 3:06 a.m. Sunday on County G near E L Townline Road, Rock Township.

-- ALFREDO VALENCIA-CHAVEZ, 26, of 860 Welty Ave., Beloit, at 12:50 a.m. Sunday on Highway 51 at Sunny Lane, Rock Township. It is listed as Valencia-Chavez’s second intoxicated driving arrest, and he also was cited for operating while revoked and operating left of center.


-- BURGLARY Saturday to an outbuilding in the 4200 block of Finley Road in Beloit Township. Reported stolen were tools valued at $1,150.

-- FRAUD, reported at 2:32 p.m. Monday in the first block of Jackman Street. $3,327 was reported fraudulently removed from a bank account.


-- HOUSE FIRE at 8:07 a.m. Tuesday at 265 W. Dawson Avenue in Beloit Township. Firefighters found a working fire in the basement and the house filled with smoke. The fire was extinguished quickly. Damage is estimated at $10,000. The cause of the fire was listed as electrical. The home belongs to Dana Johns. All residents were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.
