Janesville police are starting a new traffic enforcement project this week.

Police sergeant Charles Aagaard says the effort follows concerns expressed by the public over the amount of speeding and disregard for red lights.

Monday's effort will focus on the city's northeast side.

Much of my concern is with people who use milton avenue like it is a race track. Didnt the city put an ordinance back in 2001 or so about loitering on milton avenue???? Or doesnt that apply to those who drive massive diesel pickup trucks and use them as race mobiles?? I remember 8 years ago when "fast and the furious" was all the rage, cops had it easy pulling people over in honda civics and other imports.
