Tyler Butke sparked a strong second-half run with seven third-quarter points to help Delavan-Darien High bounce visiting Wilmot, 79-60, in Southern Lakes Conference boys basketball Friday night.


Butke finished with 22 points as the Comets (8-7, 5-5) pulled away from a 34-32 halftime advantage. Justin Fowlkes added 14 points, and Brandon Osborne added 10.


Chris Nelson scored 21 points for the Panthers (3-12, 0-8), including 14 in the first half.

Union Grove led 20-19 at the half. Waterford gained a 12-6 advantage in the third quarter for a 31-26 lead, which held up despite the Broncos posting a 15-12 advantage in the final period.


Joe Sturino scored 17 points, and Beau Steffens added 14 for Waterford.


Caleb Beachem scored nine of his 19 points in the final quarter for the Broncos.
