— Two teens from Milton and one from Beaver Dam were arrested Jan. 14 on suspicion of burglarizing a church in August.

In a joint investigation with Beaver Dam police, Jacob Barlow, 17, of Beaver Dam was arrested on charges of burglary, theft, criminal trespass and criminal damage to property.

Referred to juvenile authorities on the same charges were Milton boys aged 16 and 14, according to a Milton police news release issued Thursday.

Police believe the three are responsible for a burglary to Hope Lutheran Church, 335 Dairyland Drive, reported Aug. 23, and for thefts from motor vehicles at two Milton addresses that same date.

Items taken from the church were valued at $1,100. They included a laptop computer and a loudspeaker. Items stolen from the vehicles were valued at about $1,700, including another laptop computer, a camera and cash.

Most of the items were recovered. Not recovered were a Nikon camera valued at $500 and about $100 cash, according to the news release.
