Middleton’s start buries Sun Prairie

Middleton High opened up an 11-point lead in the first quarter and breezed to a 64-56 victory over host Sun Prairie in Big Eight Conference boys basketball Thursday night.


Matt Everson led a potent Middleton attack with 15 points. Ian Joyce had 12 points, Skyler Yaktus added 11 and Shane Adler had 10 for the winners (9-4 in Big Eight, 13-4 overall).


Jordan Noskowiak led Sun Prairie (7-6, 11-6) with 15 points. Jaron Schaffner and Nick Fuller each added 10 for the hosts, who never got within eight points of the lead after the first quarter.

-- La Follette 69, Beloit 59—Jon Dybevik and Jaren Singh combined for 46 points to lead the host Lancers to the win.


The game was tied 38-38 at half, but La Follette (8-8, 6-7) pulled away in the second half behind Singh, who had 11 points in the fourth quarter.


Sharod Stone had 19 points to lead Beloit (10-7, 8-5).
