— Becky Schneider set three school records en route to Janesville Craig High School’s 139.75-112.2 victory over visiting Madison Memorial in Big Eight Conference gymnastics Wednesday.

Schneider, a sophomore, set school marks in winning the uneven bars (9.275), balance beam (9.65) and the all-around (37.7).

The Cougars posted their highest score of the season and set a team school record for the balance beam (35.625).

“The girls are starting to put harder stuff in their routines,” Craig coach Jean Welch said. “Hopefully, we are headed in the right direction toward tournament time.’’

Schneider won all four events, plus the all-around. Teammate Sara Ennocenti finished second in the vault (9.25), the uneven bars (8.425) and the all-around (34.725)

Craig swept the floor exercise, balance beam and all-around.

The Cougars will host Madison La Follette and East next Tuesday at 7 p.m. to conclude the Big Eight dual meet season.
