Cody Stettin and Tyler Lewis carried the Janesville Bluebirds to victory Tuesday night.

Stettin finished with a hat trick, while Lewis stopped all 13 shots he faced as Janesville’s high school co-op team blanked the Madison Eastside Lakers, 5-0, at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.

Janesville (10-9, 6-4) peppered Lakers goalie Christian de la Torre with 41 shots in collecting its second straight win.

“We used our speed and moved the puck well,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said.

Stettin, a Janesville Craig junior, opened the scoring at 2:07 of the first period with a shorthanded goal. He made it 2-0 at 15:05 of the first on Cody Iverson’s second assist of the game, along with Owen Ahlstrom.

Iverson made it 3-0 early in the second before Stettin completed his hat trick at 16:30 of the second on an assist from Mo McCrone. Sean MacDougall concluded the scoring for Janesville at 9:49 of the third.

Janesville will play at Milwaukee Marquette on Saturday night.
