Brodhead Cards whip Whitewater Whippets, other scores

Brodhead High defeated Whitewater, 58-34, in Rock Valley crossover girls basketball Monday night to remain a game behind South Division-leading Orfordville Parkview.


The host Cardinals (9-6,


8-2) used a 22-9 advantage in the second quarter to gain a 29-13 halftime lead over the Whippets (5-9, 5-5).


Taylor Douglas scored 16 points, and teammate Dana Lewis added 14 to pace Brodhead. double figures.

Meggie Schmidt scored 12 points for Edgerton and was the only player to score in double figures for either team.
