-- BURGLARY to Little Caesars Pizza, 5 S. Harmony Drive, Janesville, reported Thursday. Someone entered through the roof, disabled the security system, forced open a safe and took an undetermined amount of cash.
-- ANIMAL MISTREATMENT, reported Thursday in the 100 block of South Main Street, Janesville, by a woman who said her nephew’s cat came home with an arrow through its neck. The owner could not afford emergency medical service, so the cat was euthanized at the Rock County Humane Society.
-- THEFT, reported at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday at the Diamond Center, 2500 Milton Ave., Janesville. An employee reported an unidentified man left the store with a diamond bracelet valued at $10,000.
-- POSSESSION OF ELECTRIC WEAPON, at 11:23 a.m. Wednesday at the 2600 block of Hawthorne Avenue, Janesville. Police reportedly seized a hand-held stun gun from a man. No one was charged in the incident.
-- 1506 LAPHAM ST., JANESVILLE. At 6:53 a.m. Thursday, a car caught fire in one of two garages attached to duplex residences on either side. A man who tried to extinguish the fire suffered burns and smoke inhalation but declined to be transported for treatment. Fire damage, estimated at $16,500, was confined to the garage, but smoke had to be cleared from the adjoining residence. The American Red Cross arranged temporary lodging for the family, two adults and two children. Damage to contents, including a totaled 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, estimated at $5,000.
