— A high volume of traffic on the Janesville Police Departmentís new Project Sober Streets website has resulted in intermittent failures of the computer system, according to a police news release.

On Wednesday, the department announced Project Sober Streets, which allows citizens to locate felons with five or more drunken-driving convictions, with at least one in the last five years, on an interactive map.

The website has received inquiries from throughout the United States, and the cityís computer servers have been unable to support the high volume.

The Project Sober Streets website will operate sporadically throughout the weekend. The city intends to have the website fully operational next week, the news release states.

The website can be accessed at gazettextra.com/sober.
