Janesville's Assembly representative elect is eager to get started in Madison.

Joe Knilans tells WCLO's Dan Conry show he is still humbled by the electorate's confidence. He says he will not let them down. Knilans does warn his constituents, sacrifices will be necessary to deal with the state's $3 billion deficit. He says the state doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. The Republican may be pushing an agenda item which was near and dear for his Democratic predecessor. He plans to promote the I90 widening plan from his position as a member of the Assembly Transportation committee.

The representative is planning a reenactment of his swearing-in for Parker High School in Janesville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
