Milton police ask help of residents

— The Milton Police Department is seeking the publicís help about a man who inferred he was working with the departmentís prescription drug collection program.

A male in his 20s offered to collect prescription medication at 4 p.m. Friday from a home on Second Street in the city of Milton, according to a news release from the police department. The man carried a flier about the departmentís 24-hour secure drug drop box and said he would deliver the drugs to the drop box.

The police department does not offer this service and never would offer such a service, the release states.

The man had longish brown hair and possibly a beard. He was wearing winter apparel, the release states.

If anyone has offered to pick up drugs from your home, or if you have any information about this incident, immediately call 911, the release states.

The Milton Police Department has a secure, 24-hour drug drop box at 120 Parkview Drive.
