— The Janesville Bluebirds are on a roll.

Janesville’s boys high school co-op team ran its winning streak to four on Saturday with a 7-1 Big Eight Conference win over Madison Memorial at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.

Mo McCrone had two goals for the Bluebirds as they improved to 4-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference.

“We got off to a good start, and then Tanner Woodman got a big goal for us when Memorial had cut the lead to one,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said.

“I just want us to continue to get better as a team. There were times today where I thought we were, but other times, we did some silly things with the puck. You can’t do that against good teams.”

Janesville hosts Oregon in a nonconference game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
