Jets win in Chicago

Larkin Jacobson was the hero Friday night for the Janesville Jets.

Jacobsonís shootout goal lifted Janesville to a 3-2 win over the Chicago Hitmen in an NAHL game.

Ross Mauermann, a 2009 Janesville Parker graduate, gave the Jets a 2-1 lead in the second period but the Hitmen tied the game 17 seconds into the third period.

Jordan Tredinnick and Jacobson had the two shootout goals for the Jets.

David Jacobson made 28 saves to pick up the win in goal.

The two teams play at the Janesville Ice Skating Center tonight.
