You can’t give good teams a second chance.


McFarland did that for East Troy on Friday night, and the Trojans took advantage to collect a huge Rock Valley North victory on the Spartans’ home court.


Bolstered by offensive rebounding, the Trojans outscored their hosts, 16-7, in the final quarter to earn a 59-51 victory in a matchup of undefeated teams.


Brett Prahl, a 6-foot-8 sophomore forward, led the Trojans (7-0, 5-0) with 22 points, including 12 of his team’s 18 in the third quarter. Nate Dodge, a 6-3 sophomore, added 19 points.


Senior Tyler Wedel led the Spartans (5-1, 4-1) with 18 points. Brett Kaether added 14.

Dawson Miller’s three-pointer for Whitewater (1-4, 1-4) with 2:38 left tied it at 45-45.


Brent Samuelsen, a senior, added 10 points for Edgerton (3-4, 3-2).


Clark Zinzow led Whitewater with nine points, all on three-pointers.

n Clinton 75, Big Foot 28—Clinton (5-1, 4-1) wasted no time getting back into the win column after Tuesday’s loss to unbeaten East Troy.


The Cougars had 25-5 lead after the first quarter at Walworth and were up 47-14 at halftime as they protected their Rock Valley South lead.


Justin Lange, a 6-5 junior, led Clinton with 22 points. Aaron Roth added 13, and Ross Oldenburg had 10.


Michael Kunes had eight points to pace Big Foot (1-5, 1-4).
