Craig swimmers take a liking to new Sun Prairie pool

Janesville Craig’s boys swimmers got their first look at the new Sun Prairie pool on Friday and found the conditions to their liking.

Alex Loftus and Tyler Meinders won two events each for Craig High (3-1), while Nick Krueger and Brian Paulos also won events as the Cougars dominated the Cardinals, 109-61.

“It’s a really great facility, and we really took advantage of the conditions and posted some great times,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said.

“We didn’t know what to expect against Sun Prairie because they’re a first-year team, and we were very motivated to swim well and we did.”

The Cougars are competing in the Elkhorn Invitational today.
