Milton rallies past Fort Atkinson

Milton High School’s girls basketball team got defensive en route to a key Badger South Conference victory Thursday night.


The host Red Hawks held Fort Atkinson to two points in the fourth quarter as they rallied for a 39-36 win.


Milton improve to 3-0 overall and tied Madison Edgewood for the Badger South lead at 2-0.


Liz Eide, Ashley Roherty and Lauren Holapa had nine points each for Milton, which trailed 34-31 after three quarters.


Lexi Weigand led the Blackhawks (2-2, 1-2) with a game-high 12 points.

-- Fall River 47, Williams Bay 22—Fall River’s Hailey Koch scored 16 points and teammate Emma Waterworth scored 11 as the Pirates defeated Williams Bay in the Trailways South.


While the Pirates improved to 2-0 in the conference 3-0 overall, the Bulldogs fell to 0-2 and 2-4.
