No arrests made in weekend murder
Mitchell was found with bullet wounds to his head and chest in a West Englewood alley, on the south side of town, police said.
Police were notified at 4:26 p.m. of gunshots. Mitchell was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
About an hour later, a woman, 24, heard gun shots in the same neighborhood and realized she had wounds in both of her thighs. The woman was sitting on a couch in her home when she was injured, police said.
She was treated at a hospital. Police could not say if the two shootings were related.
