Craig wrestlers pin down Memorial

— Janesville Craig High School’s wrestlers had a pin party Friday.

The Cougars won nine matches by pin in dismantling Madison Memorial, 72-9, in the Big Eight dual-meet opener for both teams.

“It was a good start to the conference season,” Craig coach Mark Mullen said. “We had some guys finish moves with a pin.

“We know that every conference meet won’t be this easy, and that starts with Middleton on Tuesday night.”

Ryan Ruble, Jamie Kumlien, Kyle Upmann, Chris Pierce, Siven Furseth, Zach Mulrooney, Austin Clay, Nate Matherand and Dakota Pearson won by pin for the Cougars.
