UW-Rock County is enjoying an increase in enrollment much higher than the average across all 26 UW-Campuses.

The average for the system is 1.6%, but UW-Rock County has a 3.42% increase over last year, according to Assistant Dean of Student Services Christine Fillhouer. In fact, Fillhouer says, the combined enrollment increase over the last four years is 34%. She attributes part of the increase to economic conditions driving students to improve their marketability, but much of the credit goes to staff responding to student needs.

Fillhouer says freshman applications for the spring semester are also up by 22%.

Enrollment across all 26 campuses nears 182,000 students, which officials call an all-time high.
