Dec. 13 hearing set in double shooting

— A Janesville man accused of shooting two people Thanksgiving Day is scheduled to be in Rock County Court for a preliminary hearing Dec. 13.

Samuel A. Morrow, 25, appeared in court Thursday. He was ordered held in the Rock County Jail on $200,000 cash bond.

Morrow is charged with two felony counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting of Eileen Chan, 21, and Robert Bowman, 28, at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 25, at 407 S. High St.

Chan, who was shot in the head, was admitted and released from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville. Bowman, who was hit under the ribs, remained in serious condition Thursday at Mercy.

John Tek, 27, Janesville, was with Morrow when the shooting occurred. He was arrested and released on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
