Fort Atkinson celebrates first Badger South win

Fort Atkinson had something to celebrate in it Badger South Conference boys basketball opener Tuesday night.


The Black Hawks dumped visiting Stoughton, 60-58, in overtime to get its first conference win in three seasons.


Sophomore Tanner Boos scored Fort’s final four points, including two free throws with 3.7 seconds left, to give his team the memorable win. Boos finished with 12 points. Logan Schwandt also had 12 points on four three-pointers.


Max Fuller led Stoughton with 14 points.

The Panthers rolled to a 30-19 halftime lead, then finished off the Red Hawks 18-9 in the third quarter for a commanding 48-28 lead.


David Sloberg scored a game-high 20 points for Oregon. Sam McCann scored 12 points, Phillip McCarthy added 11 for Milton.
