Beloit Snappers collect 19 hits, cruise past Bees

— The Beloit Snappers pounded out a season-high 19 hits en route to an 11-5 victory over the visiting Burlington Bees in Midwest League baseball Sunday.

The Snappers’ Daniel Santana went 4-for-4. Steven Liddle and Aaron Hicks had three hits each and scored three times. Liddle had four RBIs and a two-run homer, his 13th of the year.


With a Kane County loss, Beloit is one game behind in the chase for the wild-card playoff berth with eight games left.


The Snappers and Bees play the third game of the four-game set at 7 tonight.
