Mukwonago trips Badger; Elks top Sheboygan Falls

Quarterback Derek Hasanoglu was too much for the Lake Geneva Badger defense to handle Friday night.


Hasanoglu ran 17 times for 132 yards and four touchdowns to lead the visiting Indians to a 33-14 victory over Badger High in a nonconference football opener.


Hasanoglu scored on runs of 5, 12, 20 and 11 yards to give the visitors a 26-0 halftime lead.


Badger scored the final two touchdowns on scoring runs of 8 and 1 yards by Peter Krien.

Vonte Jackson led Bradford with 136 yards rushing and one touchdown. Melvin Gordon rushed 10 times for 92 yards and three touchdowns in the win.


Russ Robers rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown for Burlington.

Chris Nelson completed a 4-yard touchdown pass to Matt Christensen to put Wilmot up 6-0 in the first quarter. Catholic Central, the Division 7 defending champion, scored on a 28-yard run and kicked the extra point for a 7-6 lead.


Christian then scored on the fumble return, and Nelson ran for a two-point to conclude the scoring.
