Craig ties for second at invitational

— JANESVILLE

The Janesville Craig High School volleyball team finished in a three-way tie for second place in the Silver Division of the Cougar/Tide Classic held Saturday at Craig and Edgerton High School.


The Cougars finished 4-2 and tied with Cambridge and Madison Memorial. Lancaster went 6-0 to win the Silver Division title. Lodi defeated Edgerton, 2-1, for the Gold Division title.


Amber Bovenmyer made 35 kills and Regan Sitorius had 12 aces to lead Craig. Bovenmyer and Erica Mortensen were named to the all-Silver Division team.


Craig will host Lakeside Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
