All good things must come to an end.

Walworth Big Foot suffered its first regular-season football loss since 2006 when Harvard, Ill., defeated the visiting Chiefs, 15-7, Friday night in a nonconference opener.

Big Foot’s defending WIAA Division 4 state champions had not lost in the regular season since Evansville nipped the Chiefs, 14-7 in overtime, in a Rock Valley championship showdown four years ago.

The Chiefs were going for their fourth straight 9-0 regular season, but Harvard used three field goals from Collin Nolen and a third-quarter touchdown run to top Big Foot.

Kenneth Walker, who had 108 yards rushing in 14 carries, scored the Chiefs’ only touchdown on a 60-yard run in the first quarter. That put the Chiefs up 7-3, but three lost fumbles and eight penalties for 85 yards hurt Big Foot’s chances the rest of the way.
