— The 4th annual "Walk a mile in her shoes" event, for the Janesville YWCA's domestic violence shelter, is set for Friday afternoon.

Registration begins at 4pm and the walk is scheduled to begin a little over an hour later. The walk begins and ends at the Janesville Armory at the intersection of West Milwaukee and High Street.

The money collected will help pay for operational expenses at the shelter and to support anti-domestic violence programs.

Development Director at the YWCA, Jeff Bealles says over 100 walkers registered to walk on their web site and he expects about 200 walkers at the event. There will be dinner, music, and a silent auction at the Armory after the walk.

You can still participate in the dinner if you don't walk by paying $30.00 per person.
