Beloit Snappers keep playoff hopes alive

— The Beloit Snappers remained in postseason contention Thursday night thanks to a 4-3 win over Kane County in a Midwest League game at Pohlman Field.

Beloit is one game behind Kane County in the wild card race and hosts the Cougars in a pivotal game tonight.


Aaron Hick’s home run in the bottom of the eighth proved to be the game-winner for Beloit.


Andrei Lobanov (1-2) picked up the win while Miguel Munoz earned his first save of the season with a scoreless ninth.
