— The Alzheimer's Support Center's Annual Walk to Remember will be Saturday, Sept. 18, at Beloit's Riverside Park, at the corner of White Avenue and Highway 51.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. before a life celebration service at 8:50 a.m. The two-mile walk will begin at 9:15 a.m. and will unveil a new campaign called "Healthy Body/Healthy Brain," where attendees will be encouraged to learn how to choose better habits in their day-to-day routines. Enjoy a farmers market, beanbag tosses, a hula-hoop contest and more.

Ages 12 and younger may enter the walk for free. All individuals should get sponsorships. Individuals bringing in top pledge amounts are eligible to win prizes. To be eligible for these prizes, pledge money must be submitted before the walk begins. The walk is open to individuals and team registrations. Teams may register eight or more members. Dogs are welcome.

A post-walk party at the Harry C. Moore Pavilion will include free refreshments, prizes for the walkers with the most pledges and door prize drawings.

The event helps the ASC provide services to people in the area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
