— It would be safe to say the host Red Hawks aced the Milton Best-Ball Invitational in high school girls golf Thursday at Oak Ridge.

Ashton Stair, in fact, led the way with a hole-in-one for the Red Hawks. She used a 9-iron to ace the 129-yard No. 14 hole.

Stair and Heidi Hammil teamed up to shoot a 5-over-par 77, while Karlee McCue and Laura Stair carded 75 in leading Milton to the championship with 238 team total.

McCue and Laura Stair finished second in the individual standings behind Brittany McNett-Emmerich and Jane Welch, who shot a 74 in leading Madison West’s team to second place with a 250.

Janesville Parker was fifth in the 14-team meet with a 265, followed by Edgerton with a 268. Janesville Craig tied for ninth with a 294.

Brooke Ferrell and Meghan Dorn took third individually with a 76 for Edgerton. Amanda Becker and Jennifer Polglaze shot an 85 for Parker’s low score, while Ashley Hermanns and Hayley Arneson had an 88 to pace Craig.
