WCLO's Steve Benton reports on Beloit's attempt to get new transit system riders with a special bingo game

RSS

— Beloit officials are happy with the results of a special "Bus Bingo" game involving the transit system.

Transit Manager, Michelle Gavin, says over 2,000 cards were handed out. Between 100 and 200 completed cards were handed in, and between 20 to 30 riders achieved "bingo" on their cards.

Winners received prizes including an i-pod, plasma TV, a bus pass for one year and various gift cards.

Gavin says the purpose of the promotion was to convince people who had never ridden the buses to give it a try. She says that goal was accomplished and they're very happy with the results.
