J-Hawks collect wins

The J-Hawk Aquatic Club, featuring area participants, produced two titlists in three events in the Wisconsin State Swim Championships at Brown Deer.


Bridgett Alexander won the 100- and 200-yard backstroke titles, while Chelsea Calhoon took the 200 individual medley. Both competed in the girls 13-14 division over the weekend at the Schroeder Aquatic Center.


The J-Hawks took third place in the small-team division.


The team of Calhoon, Alexander, Callie Hebert, Kassie Yeazel and Sara Foucault finished third in the girls 13-14 division. In individual-award categories, Jenny Haney (senior) and Calhoon finished third in their age groups, and Alexander was third.


Eight J-Hawk records were set, including Alexander’s win in the 100 backstroke. Others were by Haney, 200 individual medley; D.J. Dvorak, 100 breaststroke and 100 freestyle; Alexander, Hebert, Yaezel and Calhoon, 13-14 200 and 400 medley relays; Foucault, Hebert, Yeazel and Alexander, 13-14 800 freestyle relay; Calhoon, Stacey Kincade, Kali Schneider and Haney, senior girls 800 relay.


The J-Hawks’ other top finishers:

Jennah Haney (senior)—200 individual medley, 400 IM, 200 free, second; 200 butterfly, third; 200 breaststroke, fourth; 100 breaststoke, fifth.


Chelsea Calhoon (13-14)—800 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke, third; 400 individual medley, 100 backstroke, fourth.


Bridgette Alexander (13)—200 individual medkley, third; 200 breaststroke, fifth; 100 breaststroe, sixth; 100 butterfly, eighth.


D.J. Dvorak (senior)—100 breaststroke, second; 200 individual medley, fourth; 200 breastroe, fifth; 100 freestyle, seventh.


Spencer Mattox (15-16)—100 breaststroke, third; 200 breaststroke, fifth; 400 individual medley, sixth; 200 individual medley, seventh.


Jeff Maxwell (senior)—800 freestyle, second; 400 freestyle, fourth.


Stacey Kincade (15-16)—1,500 freestyle, sixth.


Callie Hebert (13-14)—200 breaststroke, fourth.


13-14 girls 200 medley and 400 medley relays, third.


13-14 girls 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays, sixth.


13-14 girls 800 freestyle relay, seventh.


Senior girls 800 freestyle relay, eighth.
