— After a weekend tryout camp, the Janesville Jets are down to 29 players on the active roster.

There will be one more cut on Sept. 1 that will trim the roster to the final 25-man limit allowed under NAHL rules, but the final four cut will likely remain with the organization, head coach Dane Litke said. The NAHL season begins Sept. 10.

Among those on the 29-man roster are 2009 Janesville Parker graduates Ross Mauermann and David Jacobson. Mauermann, a forward, finished second in scoring for the Jets a year ago.

Jacobson, a goalie, played with the Quad City Flames a year ago.
