Clean sweep planned for garden and farm chemicals

The Rock County Land Conservation Department is pushing the proper disposal of unwanted garden and farm chemicals. C

onservation Specialist Anne Miller warns of the dangers of simply dumping out pesticides, herbicides, and other toxic chemicals. She says they could easily end up in area lakes and streams, and even the ground water. To ensure proper disposal, a clean sweep is being held in Edgerton Friday, and Janesville Saturday.
