— The Beloit Town Board is getting ready for the new no smoking law in the state.

Beloit Town Administrator, Bob Museus, says the Town Board is requesting staff prepare a draft ordinance bringing any affected local ordinances into compliance. They also must deal with specific issues relating to the town, like how the out-door smoking areas will impact taverns and bars in the town.

The state law takes affect July 5th, and Museus says the board wants to take any proposed changes to the public, and then vote on them before that.
