Dan Ozga is picking up where he left off last season.

The Edgerton High senior, who finished second at the WIAA Division 2 state golf meet a year ago, shot a blistering 4-under par 67 on Thursday to win the Monona Grove Invitational title at The Oaks.

Host Monona Grove won the 21-team title with a 297 score, while Edgerton was second at 298.

Janesville Craig tied for fifth with a 303, and Janesville Parker was 17th at 331.

Ozga had four birdies and one eagle in his first eight holes and finished with nines of 33 and 34.

“This course sets up pretty well for my game,” Ozga said of The Oaks. “Today, it was set up where you had a lot of birdie opportunities.

“What I’m really happy about is how we shot as a team. We’ve never been under 300 as long as I’ve been in school.”

Edgerton’s Andrew Morrison shot a 71, while Crimson Tide teammate Andrew Montgomery finished with a 79 and Erik Danielson with an 81.

Tanner Woodman paced Craig High with a 72, and Charlie Grafft was Parker’s medalist with a 79.

Fort Atkinson’s Tyler Glass fired a 1-under 70, while Evansville’s Noah Rooney had an even-par 71.
