— Some Craig High School students are planning to participate in a nationwide protest Friday.

Craig history teacher, Brian Johnson, is the adult supervisor for the Gay-Straight Alliance club at the school. He says students began planning their participation in the "day of Silence" event several weeks ago.

They'll be wearing special t-shirts and won't speak Friday until the end of the school day. Johnson says the group will shout in unison, as the final bell of the day rings, signifying breaking the silence on the ill-treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students.
