— A touch of Hollywood comes to the Janesville Country Club Saturday with the annual House of Mercy Homeless Center Charity Ball.

Center manager, Shirley Van Horn, says they're expecting about 300 guests to attend the "black tie" event.

She says it takes about $150,000 annually to run the center and they expect to collect about half of that at the ball.

The evening begins with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and is followed by a gourmet dinner, music, and a silent auction.

The House of Mercy is a 25-bed homeless center that provides families with short term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources.
