A Janesville native plans to challenge State Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan.

Ken Brotheridge says he's running to offer voters a choice. The Republican is a UW-Platteville graduate with a degree in Political Science and Business Administration.

The 24-year-old says he will bring prosperity back to Janesville by reducing the tax burden and encouraging greater transparency in government by eliminating wasteful government programs.
